SalesCrunch, Inc., a New York-based social networking and sales training platform, closed a $1.4m seed round of financing.
The round was led by First Round Capital, with participation from Accel Partners, Nextview Ventures and serial entrepreneurs including Alfred Lin, current Sequoia Capital Partner, and Janet Kraus, co-founder and former CEO of Circles.com and Senior Lecturer of Entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School.
In conjunction with the funding, First Round Partner Chris Fralic joins the company’s board of directors along with Janet Kraus.
Founded by CEO Sean Black, SalesCrunch is designed to empower sales professionals, allow them to connect with customers, develop their skills, and increase revenue.
The company’s products currently include:
– CrunchConnect, an online meeting, presentation and email tracking platform
– CrunchTrainer, a tool that is designed to empower collaborative training, tracking and certification of sales team online
– CrunchConnect, a tool that is designed to bring social networking into meetings, presentations & email
– SalesSchool, a community of thought leaders building a free resource of events, articles and interviews about the science of sales.
