Vorbeck Materials, Corp., a Jessup, MD manufacturer of graphene-based conductive ink for electronics applications, has secured an additional $2.785m in a Series 2b financing.
The round was led by Fairbridge Venture Partners and Stoneham Partners, L.P., with participation from individual investors.
To date, the company has raised over $8.0m.
Vorbeck intends to use the additional capital to expand sales of its graphene-based conductive ink for printed electronics applications, Vor-ink™ , which was developed at Princeton University and launched in 2009. Products using Vor-ink™ circuits will be available in major retail chains in 2011.
The company, which was established in 2006, has received EPA approval for the commercial production and sale of graphene-based products.
