CapLinked, a Manhattan Beach, California-based social online platform that connects companies, advisors, and investors completed a $525,000 angel funding round.
Investors include Peter Thiel, Dave McClure, Joe Lonsdale, Aman Verjee and David Anderson.
The company raised nearly $400,000 in a financing round from individuals in mid 2010.
Co-founded in January 2010 by CEO Eric Jackson and CFO and COO Christopher Grey, a former PayPal Vice President, CapLinked provides a collaborative platform for entrepreneurs, private investors and advisors to find each other, build relationships, and transact business.
Launched in October, the service currently has more than 2,100 companies and 1,000 investors on the platform, and $800m in potential deals.
The platform helps companies, advisors, and investors connect each other, build relationships, make private investments, and manage the process of capital raising, due diligence, closings, and reporting to make private investments.
