Embotics Corporation, an Ottawa, Canada-based provider of virtualization and private cloud management solutions, has received a new “multi-million” dollar round of financing from existing investors.
Supporters include Tera Capital and Covington Capital, as well as an additional major institutional investor.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its engineering, sales and marketing efforts throughout North America and Europe, building the customer base for its end-to-end virtualization management platform. Embotics also appointed Jason Cowie as the new vice president of product management, Kirsten Foon as the senior director of marketing and Neal Hill to the advisory board.
Led by CEO Jay Litkey, Embotics recently launched V-Commander 3.7, which provides an integrated, scalable platform to manage dynamic data centers. It is designed to actively reduce complexity within the data center environment while decreasing operational costs and increasing efficiency.
