Greenleaf Biofuels, a Guilford, CT-based develper of a biodiesel processing operation at New Haven Terminal, has received a $150,000 pre-seed investment.
Backers include Advantage Capital Partners and Ironwood Capital.
The company plans to use the funds for working capital needs and ultimate engineering work.
Founded by Gus Kellogg, Greenleaf Biofuels focuses on producing American-made biofuels for home heating and transportation fuels from reclaimed and waste vegetable oil (yellow grease) and from restaurants and food manufacturers.
