KaBuM!, a Limeira, Brazil-based online retailer of consumer electronics and technology goods, recently received a minority investment of undisclosed amount led by Insight Venture Partners.
The company is using the funds to accelerate its growth within Brazil, as well as expand to neighboring markets in South America.
In conjunction with the funding, Nnamdi Okike, a vice president at Insight Venture Partners has joined KaBuM!’s Board of Directors.
Founded in 2003 by brothers Thiago and Leandro Ramos (CEO), KaBuM! has grown to become one of the Brazil’s largest independent e-commerce provider of technology goods, including computers, computer components, and other consumer electronics. The business supplies over 600,000 users, as well as over 25,000 companies across the country.
