Do@, a newly launched provider of a mobile search platform, has raised $7M in funding.
The round wasled by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, with participation from DFJ Tamir Fishman and BRM Group.
In conjunction with the funding, DFJ Managing Director Tim Draper has joined do@’s Board of Directors.
Based in Israel with offices in San Francisco, the company also announced the immediate availability of its mobile search platform, which is designed to enable direct communication between users and their sources.
Co-founded by Rami Kasterstein, CEO, Ami Ben David, head of product, user experience, strategic relationships and marketing and Joey Simhon, CTO, do@ intends to deconstruct the traditional search paradigm of web links and instead delivers web apps that answer any query a user posts.
Do@ is available for iPhone. Upcoming versions will also support Android and other mobile devices and platforms.
