Pixonic, a Moscow, Russia-based social network games publisher, has received $5m in its second venture capital financing.
Investors include Ventech, Kite Ventures, and TA Venture.
The company intends to use the funds to publish new games in social networks, including Facebook, through its own PixAPI platform, which is designed to provide developer with fast integration, game localization and promotion, community management and payment system.
Founded in 2009 and led by CEO Elena Masolova, Pixonic launched its PixAPI platform in December 2010.
The company, which has already released over 30 titles developed by seventeen studios (including Happy Coders, Rocket Games, Maygem/Bitfold, iLogos, and Bit.Games) in seven different countries, has agreements to publish social games globally.
Titles include the hit Lil’ Brownies, which has already been launched in 12 major social networks, Aeroport, Gold Rush, Adventure Island, and Sweet Life.
