Quantec Limited, a Hamilton, New Zealand -based company that specializes in discovering and commercializing high-value bioactives from natural products then developed into ingredients used in human and animal health products, has raised $500k in funding.
Backers include private equity fund Central Capital Investments ($250k) and the Government’s New Zealand Venture Investment Fund ($250k).
The company intends to use the funds to grow global sales of IDP® and test its formulation as a mastitis treatment in cows.
Quantec was co-founded by Managing Director Dr Rod Claycomb and Senior Scientist Dr Judy Bragger.
