Siano Mobile Silicon, a global provider of mobile digital TV receiver chips, has raised $20m in funding.
The round was led by capital Jerusalem Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the capital to bolster its product lines and expand its presence in North America.
Led by CEO Alon Ironi, Siano provides digital TV receiver chips that enable digital TV solutions for handheld and consumer electronics device makers.
To this end, the company works with global tier-1 PC, mobile handset, and home entertainment manufacturers, including Samsung, LG, Motorola, ZTE, Huawei, Dell, Lenovo, Garmin and others.
Siano has offices in Netanya (Israel) Dallas (USA) Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen ( China), Taipei ( Taiwan), Seoul (Korea), and Sao Paulo (Brazil).
In conjunction with the funding, Gadi Tirosh, a General Partner at JVP, will join the company’s Board of Directors.
