zozi, a San Francisco, CA-based web site that focuses on deals for experiences and local activities, has raised $7m in Series B funding.
The round was led by inside investors, with participation from LaunchCapital, the Pritzker/Vlock Family Office, 500Startups, ZIG Capital, Thomas & Peter Lehrman, David Tisch and others.
This capital brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $10m.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into dozens of new cities in the U.S. and abroad, accelerate customer acquisition, and hire new professionals.
Launched in 2009 and led by CEO TJ Sassani, zozi enables customers and travelers to book distinctive experiences, such as play polo, private surfing lessons, fly fishing excursions, weekend helicopter and camping getaway and shark cage diving, all of which are hand-picked by the company’s team of travel, culture and adventure experts.
zozi has offices in New York City.
