ARTEL, Inc., a Reston , VA-based provider of information technology and managed communications network services, has been acquired by TPG Growth and Torch Hill Investment Partners.
The transaction, whose amount remained undisclosed, will help the company grow both organically and through acquisitions. Following the investment, founder Abbas Yazdani will remain a significant ARTEL shareholder and will continue to serve as CEO.
Founded in 1986, ARTEL is a provider of high-reliability satellite and terrestrial communications solutions to government and commercial customers. The company covers the full life-cycle process, beginning with strategic business analysis and planning, to engineered solutions and ending in full implementation of global secure networks.
ARTEL has offices in Cairo, Egypt, and Worms, Germany.
