Bromium, a Cupertino, California- and Cambridge, UK-based start up that develops technology in the areas of virtualization and security, has closed a $9.2m Series A funding round.
Investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Ignition Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Peter Levine, venture partner at Andreessen Horowitz; Frank Artale, managing director at Ignition Ventures; and George Kurtz, worldwide CTO and executive vice president at McAfee have joined the company’s Board of Directors.
Founded by president and CEO Gaurav Banga, CTO Simon Crosby and SVP Products Ian Pratt, Bromium is focused on the delivery of infrastructure solutions designed to allow enterprises to safely embrace virtualization and cloud computing.
