Redwood Systems, a Fremont, California-based provider of networked LED lighting control and building intelligence solutions, has secured a $3.5m strategic investment from Mitsui & Co. Global Investment, Inc., a subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
The investment will help the company to expand worldwide.
Led by CEO and co-founder Dave Leonard, Redwood Systems provides a LED lighting control and building intelligence platform designed to deliver both ongoing energy savings and workspace productivity enhancements.
Redwood’s solutions have been adopted across office buildings and data centers of leading companies such as SAP, Volkswagen, and Johnson Controls (http://www.redwoodsystems.com/portfolio/gallery).
With this strategic investment, Mitsui Global Investment joins Battery Ventures, U.S. Venture Partners and Index Ventures as investors in Redwood Systems (read the news).
