Restalo.es, a Barcelona, Spain-based company that operates a free online restaurant reservation service, has raised €1m in funding from Active Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to expand domestically and internationally and to continue to develop its online booking management system.
Founded in 2008 by four young entrpreneurs and led by CEO Juan Otero, Restalo.es allows customers to reserve thousands of restaurants for free and help restaurant owners maximize their capacity and increase their revenue.
The company currently employs over 20 professionals and operates in 31 cities in Spain and big European cities such as London, Rome, Milan and Paris.
The company’s web site offers a comprehensive restaurant guide, from owner-run restaurants to large restaurant chains.
