SMS Assist Raises $15m from New World Ventures

SMS Assist, a Chicago, IL-based company that develops facilities maintenance technology designed to track service orders, bill customers, provide compliance reports and manage quality, has raised $15m in funding from New World Ventures.

The company intends to use the capital to accelerate market penetration and continue to develop its technology.

In conjunction with the funding, Matt McCall, partner at New World Ventures, will join the company’s board.

Led by founder and CEO Mike Rothman, SMS Assist uses its proprietary online platform, ServiceTrack™, to manage and provide maintenance services, such as floor cleaning, snow removal, landscaping, HVAC maintenance and other interior and exterior services.
It provides services at more than 20,000 locations for national clients including big- and small-box mass merchants and specialty retailers.
