StorSimple, a Santa Clara, CA-based provider of Enterprise Cloud Storage for Windows and VMware infrastructures, closed a $10.5m Series C round of funding.
The round, which brings the total raised to date to $31.5m, was led by Ignition Partners, with participation from existing investors Index Ventures, Mayfield Fund and Redpoint Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its offering both in the U.S. and internationally.
Led by co-founder and CEO Ursheet Parikh, StorSimple is designed to securely integrate the cloud into on-premises applications. It offers a single appliance that delivers high-performance tiered storage, live archiving, cloud based data protection and disaster recovery.
