Baunat, an Antwerp, Belgium-based online diamond jewellery company, has raised €2.8m in funding.
Investors include Belgian and French private equity backers.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop its business model and expand its product portfolio.
Established in 2008 by entrepreneurs Stefaan Mouradian and Steven Boelens, BAUNAT exports more than 85% of its jewellery, mainly in Western Europe.
The company offers rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets created byBelgian designers and skilled artisans.
The main portion of sales (95%) come from the company’s e-store at http://www.baunat.com, the remainder in the showroom in the Antwerp diamond district.
