Phizzle, Inc., a San francisco, CA-based mobile marketing technology company providing audience engagement solutions, has closed a $3m Series A financing round led by Alsop Louis Partners.
The company intends to use the capital to develop technology, expand its management team, broaden its services, grow in key markets and boost its customer service.
Led by CEO Ben Davis, Phizzle provides its customers with solutions designed to connect with consumers across every mobile channel, including SMS, mobile websites, IVR, call-to-action campaigns, digital signage, permission-based advertising networks, branded apps and mobile barcoding.
The company plans to broaden its product offerings by expanding its customer base to include SMBs with the introduction of a self-service mobile marketing platform, and consumers with the launch of a SMS text-based, all-inclusive sports alert service.
Phizzle has serviced brand-name sports franchises such as the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers; entertainment venues such as Madison Square Garden, broadcast companies such as Fox Sports Net, retail establishments and mobile carriers.
