Wilkinson Star, a UK-based welding equipment stockists has received a £200k North West Fund for Business loan via FW Capital.
The company intends to use the proceeds from the financing to expand its product range and improve stock levels.
Established over 40 years ago and led by Chairman John Wilkinson, Wilkinson Star supplies over 2,500 distributors in the UK and abroad from its purpose-built 55,000 sq.ft Worsley sales and distribution facility. the company also provides NVQ/VRQ-level training for apprentices and more experienced staff on the latest welding equipment.
FW Capital manages the £35m North West Fund for Business Loans, which makes loans of between £50,000 and £250,000 to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) based in the North West of England.
