UpMo, a Sa Jose, CA-based startup that provides social tools to enable individuals to connect with resources existing inside their current organizations, has secured more than $1.7m in bridge funding.
Investors include Brian NeSmith, former president and CEO of Blue Coat Systems (Nasdaq:BCSI), John Belizaire, a venture capitalist and current CEO of FirstBest Systems, and Alvin Smith, co-founder and former president of Saratoga Systems.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its engineering and product-development teams and scale its customer-facing operations.
Led by CEO and founder Promise Phelon, the company offers UpMo Career Mobilizer™, a SaaS-based social application that enables individuals to connect with opportunities, people and knowledge inside their current organizations.
