Webpromoter360, a Houghton-le-Spring, UK-based firm that provides software designed to help companies improve the search engine optimization and reporting processes, has obtained a £72,000 investment from Northstar Ventures.
Northstar, which made the investment through its Finance for Business North East Proof of Concept Fund, backed by the European Regional Development Fund, European Investment Bank and One North East, had already provided the company with £100,000 in 2010.
Founded by David and Claire Glynn, Webpromoter360 has developed 4thAspect.com, which provides agencies with new tools to semi-automate the search engine optimization and reporting processes used by companies in marketing over the internet processes.
In addition, the company added one of the founders of Newcastle-based software giant Sage, Tom Maxfield, as a non-executive director. He will help the company continue to grow. To this end, Webpromoter360 also intends to recruit eight full-time employees in sales, account management and software engineering.
