ZocDoc, a New York-based company operating a service that allows patients to find nearby doctors who accept their insurance, and book appointments online, closed a $50m Series C financing with DST Global.
This round of funding brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $70m.
The company intends to use the capital to continue its expansion into new markets, growing its base of doctors and patients.
Established in 2007 and led by co-founder and CEO Cyrus Massoumi, ZocDoc is free for patients while doctors pay $250 per month. Free apps are available for iPhone and Android.
