Clean Power Finance, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of integrated services and financing solutions for the solar industry, sait it completed a $25m funding.
The round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers‘ Green Growth Fund, with participation from Google Ventures, Claremont Creek Ventures, Clean Pacific Ventures and Sand Hill Angels.
The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to continue building on its platform, a SaaS, professional-grade solar quoting and proposal application designed to connect solar system installation, design, sales and financing.
Customers include large solar integrators, panel manufacturers and electrical distributors in the U.S.
In addition, Clean Power Finance has appointed Robert “Nat” Kreamer, co-founder of SunRun, as its new CEO.
The company was founded in 2007 by Gary Kremen (a Silicon Valley software entrepreneur and founder of Match.com). The management team and board include Nat Kreamer and software entrepreneurs Nat Goldhaber (founder of CyberGold) and Joe Kraus (JotSpot and Excite founder).
