EPLA Raises £610K in Angel Funding

-

EPLA, a Carmarthen, UK-based equine health company, recently raised £610k in angel funding.

The backer is xénos (the Wales Business Angel Network) business angel Robin Williams, who had already invested in the company along with another member of the network.

EPLA intends to use the capital to build a bespoke diagnostic laboratory.

Founded by Diane Gilby and led by Managing Director Graham Williams, the company provides an innovative Intelligent Worming service for horse owners, which can assess a horse’s worm infestation, conduct a risk assessment, plan a personalized worming programme and deliver treatments.

The service was developed in partnership with the universities of Liverpool and Edinburgh.
