PrivateFly.com, a St Albans, UK-based online aggregator for private jet charter, has raised £2m in funding.
Investors include travel tech entrepreneur Sam Friend, founder of wotif.com, David Scowsill, president of WTTC (World Travel and Tourism Council), Richard Carrick ex-CEO of Hoseasons, and PrivateFly’s Chairman, and Damon De Laszlo.
The company intends to use the funds to roll-out to new international markets, upgrade all its platforms, including those for mobile apps and enhance real-time integration of pricing and availability with aircraft operators.
Led by CEO and co-founder Adam Twidell, and chairman Richard Carrick, PrivateFly is an online booking network designed to make it easier and more cost effective to arrange private jet charter.
It has over 2700 operators registered worldwide.
