Kanbox Raises $20M in Series B Funding

As we anticIpated last Friday (read here), Kanbox, a Chinese provider of cloud storage and sharing services has raised funding.

The $20m Series B financing was led by DCM, which joined SIG China.

The company intends to use the new funding to further enhance its products and services, and expand its user base and partner ecosystem.

Launched in January of 2011 and based on an open-platform, Kanbox provides over five million users with the ability to store photos, videos and documents across multiple locations and devices.

The company, which is led by CEO Tomy Gu and Chairman MingMing Huang, recently launched the service on the android app.

In conjunction with the funding, DCM co-founder and general partner, David Chao, is joining the board of directors of Kanbox.
