Sidense Corp., an Ottawa, Canada-based developer of Logic Non-Volatile Memory (LNVM) one-time programmable (OTP) memory IP cores, has raised an additional $5.6m in Series C funding.
Backers include Ontario Emerging Technologies Fund (OETF), and existing investors Tech Capital Partners, VentureLink, and Vertex Venture Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to develop new products.
Led by Andrew Abouchar, Chairman of the Board, and Xerxes Wania, CEO and President, Sidense provides LNVM-OTP memory IP for use in standard-logic CMOS processes. Customers use the company’s OTP for analog trimming, code storage, encryption keys such as HDCP, WHDI, RFID and Chip ID, medical, automotive, and configurable processors and logic.
