AllTrails.com, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of a digital network that allows users to discover and access to a database of 45,000 outdoor trails in the US and Canada, has closed a seed round of funding of undisclosed amount.
Backers include 500 Startups, 2020 Ventures, and other individual angel investors.
Founded in 2010 by CEO Russell Cook, AllTrails provides outdoor enthusiasts with information and tools to discover destinations near them. They can locate and share outdoor trails around them, search on criteria including length, difficulty, and dog-friendliness of trails, and get driving directions to the trailhead.
The app is available for iPhone, and Android.
The company graduated as part of the inaugural class of AngelPad last November.
