CertiVox, a London, UK- and San Francisco, CA-based information security company, has closed a £1.5m (approximately $2.4m) second tranche of a Series A venture capital funding.
The round was led by Octopus Investments, with participation from Pentech Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its development team and bring to market its certificateless encryption as a service platform.
Led by CEO Brian Spector, CertiVox has built a cloud-based service designed to enable governments, enterprises and individuals to secure their information exchanges, through encryption key management, e-commerce security and digital rights management.
In conjunction with the funding, Dr. Luke Hakes, principal at Octopus, will join the company’s board.
