Standing Cloud, a Boulder, Colorado-based provider of cloud application management services, has raised an additional $3m in financing.
Backers include existing investors Foundry Group and Avalon Ventures.
The round brings the company’s total funding since 2009 to $8m.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop and deploy its cloud application management service, and expand its Application Storefront offering, which enables cloud service providers to offer customers instant access and support for nearly 100 open-source and commercial apps, as well as multiple programming languages, all pre-configured to run instantly and reliably on any public cloud.
Standing Cloud’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) capabilities support multiple programming languages, including Rails, PHP, Java and Python, and a wide range of cloud service providers and orchestration software systems.
In addition to the funding, the company added entrepreneur and TechStars mentor Will Herman to its Board of Directors. He joins Foundry Group’s Brad Feld, Avalon’s Rich Levandov, and CEO David Jilk.
