Shareaholic, a Cambridge, MA-based content sharing company, has raised $1.9m in seed funding.
Backers include Nextview Ventures and General Catalyst Partners, as well as Dave McClure, Dharmesh Shah, David Cancel, Brian Shin, Roy Rodenstein, Nicole Stata (Boston Seed Fund), Jonathan Kraft, and TJ Mahoney.
The company intends to use the funds to hire in all areas, with an emphasis on engineering (http://www.shareaholic.com/about/careers).
Founded in 2008 by Jay Meattle, Shareaholic provides publishers, advertisers and mainstream businesses with web content sharing tools for any website including WordPress and Tumblr and features to measure the effectiveness of their content.
