Smartblue, a Munich, Germany-based developer of intelligent monitoring of photovoltaic systems, has received a seed financing of undisclosed amount.
Backers include High-Tech Gründerfonds and private investor Martin Weiss.
Founded in 2010 by Dr. Philipp Geiger and Günter Seel, smartblue develops, markets and operates an internet-based service for the intelligent fault detection of photovoltaic systems. According to a written statement, the company’s technology detects faults (that lowers output) in PV systems in each specific PV module, continuously recording their electrical characteristics.
