SurDoc Corporation, a Menlo Park, CA-based newly launched company that develops document processing and backup technology, has raised $4m in funding from IDG Ventures.
The company also announced its new service offering 10 GB of free storage along with free, and automatic backup of Microsoft® Windows® data files to the cloud.
Based on the OASIS UOML standard, SurDoc allows users to view, share, annotate and digitally sign any textual and image data from any source (word processing, spreadsheet, presentations, etc.) using any Web browser.
SurDoc has been launched in December 2011.
