The UK Future Technologies Fund has made an investment in SEP IV, a fund managed by Scottish Equity Partners LLP.
SEP IV focuses on financing UK-based later stage, high-growth, high-tech businesses that are developing technology and products in information technology, energy and healthcare.
UK FTF, which is supported by £100m from the UK Government, matched by £100m from EIF, is one of two funds of funds which together make up the UK Innovation Investment Fund (UKIIF).
It invests in venture capital managers that targets a range of technologies in fields such as life sciences, digital technology, and advanced manufacturing.
SEP IV is UK FTF’s fifth investment, which brings total commitments so far to around £65m.
