Intelligent Bio-Systems, Inc., a Waltham, MA-based DNA sequencing company, has received a $750k loan from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center‘s Accelerator Program.
Founded in 2005 by Drs. Steven J. Gordon and Jingyue Ju, Intelligent Bio-Systems aims to commercialize an advanced DNA sequencing system. The company is currently focused on completing small scale prototypes and moving into beta testing in customer labs and then launch a smaller, lower cost highly flexible version of the system.
The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center’s Accelerator Program provides loans of up to $750,000 (matching other sources of capital) to early-stage life sciences companies at the most critical stages of their development cycle, enabling them to conduct vital research and proof-of-concept studies.
