On The Spot Systems, a Newton, MA-based real-time mobile survey provider, has closed a for $750,000 seed funding.
Backers include Kepha Partners, Angel Street Capital and Mike Sheehan.
The company intends to use the funding to grow its team and expand its engineering, sales, marketing and customer support efforts.
On The Spot Systems plans to extend its reach in food service and address emerging opportunities in industries such as retail, healthcare and service organizations. To this end, it has also added Scott Savitz, founder and former CEO of footwear retailer ShoeBuy, as an advisor to its management team.
Led by co-founder and CEO Geoff Palmer, the company develops mobile systems designed to enable managers to get immediate feedback from customers or employees via a smartphone, ipod touch, ipad, or online. Through its portal, the company also provides reporting and analytics tools.
