Sumo Logic, a Mountain View, California-based log management and analytics company, has closed a $15m Series B funding.
The round was led by Sutter Hill Ventures, with participation from founding investors Greylock Partners and angel investor Shlomo Kramer.
This new funding brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $20.5m.
Sumo Logic plans to use the funds to accelerate its engineering and go-to-market activities.
Founded in April 2010 by Christian Beedgen and acting CEO and VP of Analytics Kumar Saurabh, who were joined in in founding roles by Bruno Kurtic and Domingo Mihovilovic, the company has just emerged from stealth to launch its log management and analytics service delivered as a petabyte scale, cloud-based service. Powered by patent-pending Elastic Log Processing™ and LogReduce™ technologies, it is designed to transform log data into actionable insights for IT operations, application management, and security and compliance teams.
