Symplified, a Boulder, Colo.-based cloud identity company, has raised $20m in Series C venture capital financing.
The round was led by Ignition Partners, with participation from existing investors Allegis Capital, Granite Ventures, and Quest Software.
This latest funding brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $38.8m.
Symplified intends to use the new capital to expand operations, service and support, research and development, and marketing resources.
In conjunction with the funding, Cameron Myhrvold of Ignition Partners has joined the company’s board of directors.
Led by CEO and Founder Eric Olden, Symplified provides identity management, access control, single sign-on, user management and auditing across any device using a proxy gateway architecture deployed either in the cloud or on premises.
The service is used by both blue chip enterprises including HP, Blue Shield, ESPN, Forest Laboratories, Moody’s, Royal DSM and Zurich Insurance, as well as companies like Zynga, Netflix, American Hospital Association, Elan Pharma, Rambus and Dolby Laboratories.
The company recently launched a Cloud IAM solution for iPad, Kindle Fire, iPhone, and Android devices.
