ClevrU Corporation, a Waterloo, Ontario, Canada-based developer of an e-teaching content delivery platform with tools to assist in interactive teaching and student/instructor collaboration, has raised an additional $550k in from a combination of existing and new investors.
The investment is the second tranche of a combined $1.4m seed funding.
Led by CEO and President Dana Fox, ClevrU focuses on cloud computing applications that use an intelligent engine to adapt course content to users personal needs in a mobile environment. Its technology combines video e-teaching with semantic based intelligent social network tools for educational institutions universities and colleges, cellular phone/tablet computer manufacturers and cellular carriers to deliver course content anywhere and anytime.
The company is initially focused on international education markets (in China).
