Ecometrica, an Edinburgh, Scotland, and Montreal, Canada-based greenhouse gas monitoring company, has raised £250k in growth capital from Berti Investments.
The company intends to use the procceds from the investment to continue to expand globally.
Led by CEO Dr Richard Tipper, Ecometrica has developed greenhouse gas accounting solutions, ecosystem services, climate change policy, remote sensing and web-based programming.
Among the others, clients include RSA, BP and Petkim.
Set up in early 2011 with a £5m loan from the Bertha Foundation, Berti Investments focuses on backing innovative, growing, entrepreneurial businesses in the UK that focus on reducing carbon emissions. All profits made by the firm are reinvested.
