Good Works Now, a Portland, Oregon-based company that provides tools for nonprofits to manage fundraising, boards and online reputation, is to raise $25k from Portland Seed Fund.
Founded by Jeri Alcock and Mark Bates in 2011, the company will provides organizations with cloud-based applications to:
– create and manage their annual funding plan, identifying sources of income, plan activities, and assign tasks and deadlines to staff and volunteers;
– respond to media in real time, track crowd raising for their causes and receive alerts when they appear on third party rating sites such as Guidestar and Charity Navigator;
– manage board recruitment, engagement and performance.
These tools will be available for purchase in late spring or early summer.
Good Works Now is receiving the funding as a part of Class 02 of the Portland Seed Fund.
