London, UK-based MMC Ventures has launched a second venture capital fund for young investors aged 18-35 with £2,500 to £10,000 to invest.
The MMC Ventures (MMC) Growth Generation Fund II is an EIS venture capital fund, which means that profits on each investment are tax free and an investors’ after-tax risk exposure is sharply reduced.
The fund will invest in at least four companies, within 12 to 18 months, to create a portfolio of EIS qualifying companies that operate in high growth sectors such as consumer internet, digital media and healthcare. Led by investment director Rory Stirling, MMC initially invests between £500k and £2m of capital in fast growing UK businesses that have already demonstrated market acceptance of their proposition.
