Avenir Medical Inc., a Waterloo, Canada-based company that researches, develops, and commercializes orthopaedic medical devices, has raised $725k in funding.
The investment was made by accredited angels from the Georgian Angel Network.
The company intends to use the funding to continue to advance its technology.
Founded in 2010 by CEO Armen Bakirtzian, Avenir Medical is developing PelvAssist™, a novel medical device aimed to assist orthopaedic surgeons deliver a superior quality of care to their patients while reducing the incidences of surgical error.
