Private investment firm Sun Capital Partners has acquired Certified Power Inc., a Chicago-based distributor and service provider of fluid power systems and torque transfer products, from Northstar Capital.
The investment, whose amount was not released, is designed to help the company grow organically and through acquisitions.
Certified Power designs, distributes, and assembles fluid power system and torque transfer products for the movement of power applications on a variety of vehicles, including snow plows, dump trucks, skid steers and concrete mixers.
It serves a diverse, blue-chip customer base across a variety of end markets that include the truck equipment, mobile equipment, construction, industrial machinery, and energy sectors.
The company also provides a broad service and repair offering for related products and has nine facilities across the Midwest.
