Manflu, a Manchester, UK-based company that offers a soothing hot drinks, has received £500k in funding from The North West Fund for Venture Capital.
The company intends to use the capital to expand its product range. Led by Jonathan Evans, Manflu plans to pursue ideas for other health and wellbeing products and bring them to market following the success of its MANFLU ‘Hot or Shot’, a natural lemon-lime and honey flavour drink which contains 1250% RDA of Vitamin C, Echinacea and Zinc. Launched in late 2010, the drink and is now on sale in major Sainsbury’s stores and pharmacy chains nationwide.
The North West Fund for Venture Capital is managed by EV and financed by The European Regional Development Fund and The European Investment Bank.
