PureWave Networks, Inc., a Santa Clara, CA-based provider of advanced, cost-effective 4G wireless base stations, has secured $5m in Series C funding.
Backers include existing and new investors.
The company intends to use the capital to continue the development and commercialization of its new line of small cell LTE base stations, as well as to grow its presence in key markets.
Established in 2003 and led by CEO Don Meiners, PureWave develops high-performance, carrier-class LTE and mobile WiMAX (802.16e) base station equipment, which supports a wide range of third party end-user devices and are designed to be installed completely outdoors with no need for a climate controlled shelter.
