AltoBeam, a Beijing, China-based fabless IC design company developing products for advanced DTV receivers, has closed a $6m Series D funding.
The round was led by US Venture Partners (USVP), with participation from existing investors, DFJ and DFJ DragonFund, Tano Capital, and Stanford Professor David Cheriton.
The company intends to use the funding for growth and product expansion.
Founded in 2007, AltoBeam is committed to providing high-performance receiver and demodulator IC products to the global Digital Television (DTV) industry. It has R&D and customer support facilities located in Beijing, Shenzhen (China), San Jose (US) and Seoul (Korea).
