Mixpanel Raises $10M in Series A Financing

Mixpanel, a San Francisco-based advanced analytics platform for mobile and web, has raised $10m in Series A financing.

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from PayPal Co-founder Max Levchin, Salesforce.com Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff and Yammer Chairman and CEO David O. Sacks.

The company intends to use the capital to accelerate its growth in the mobile and web analytics market.

Led by CEO Suhail Doshi, Mixpanel provides an advanced analytics platform that help enterprise clients and mobile app developers and publishers measure recurring visitor traffic, engagement in desired behaviors and conversion rates. New customers include Viddy, Path and SocialCam.

In conjunction with the funding, Andreessen Horowitz’s General Partner Peter Levine (read here Peter’s blog post about the investment) has joined Mixpanel’s Board of Directors.
