SP3H, an Aix-en-Provence, France-based developer of a sensor that measures fuel quality, has raised €2.2m in funding.
Backers include Truffle Capital and existing private investors.
The company intends to use the capital to continue to develop its sensor by the end of 2014, the date scheduled for mass production of the industrial systems.
Founded in August 2005 by Chairman Alain Lunati, SP3H has developed a miniaturised optical sensor, known as a Fuel Quality Sensor capable of measuring fuel quality and reducing CO2 emissions, fuel consumption and pollutant emissions, whilst improving engine reliability and performance.
